I have a Vitamix, it will pulverize grain into coarse flour, but I doubt you could do it with regular blades such as a food processor has, or a normal blender. I bought a Family Grain Mill, they're German made, and you can choose manual or electric. I have the manual, it turns much easier than many hand-cranked mills, but even so, it's a lot of work. It takes 2 passes to get it fine enough for bread or biscuits. The flour is wonderful. Not quite fine as store bought, but close enough, the flavor of the freshly ground wheat is really good.
If you happen to have a Kitchenaide stand mixer, they make a grain mill attachment for it. I recently got one of the mixers (refurbished, from the Kitchenaide website) and plan to get the mill attachment.
