Hatched 90% and have been dry incubating and not turn since 2016 without any issues.
Have some quail, geese, ducks, and chickens in the incubator know.
Thanks
I have not turned any eggs in at least two years. 100s of Chicken, ducks, and quails hatch with 90% hatch rates.
I get extremely high hatch rates and can fit more in the incubator.
I have hatched several hundred eggs without adding any water at all to the incubator over the entire hatch. I...
I have had extremely high success rates dry incubating duck eggs.
I live in an area where the humidity usually ranges from 30-60% on most days.
I have hatched 100's of chickens, quail, and ducks with no water added to the incubator.
When I say dry incubation I mean I haven't added any water at...
I read some old articles from the 40s and seems like Turkey and chickens should not be kept together.
Google blackhead disease and Acidified Cooper Sulfate
I am not sure if links are allowed
Should I buy eggs or buy the birds?
It seems like the eggs that I have found are ridiculously priced.
I don't want six turkey and I have to buy a minimum of six if I go to the local feed store.
I would like a quiet meat breed that isn't a good flyer, any suggestions.
Thanks
Will his offspring lay brown eggs or is it a toss up?
Trying to figure out if I need to find him a home. Never planned to have a rooster and don't want to get away from brown egg layers

He was hatched from a group of duck eggs.
He was in large white egg.
His feathers are primarily white.
He egg was large enough that it mixed in with Pekin duck eggs and looked the same.
Will he produce sex links when paired with a red sexlinked?
Will he produce...
I would wait a couple weeks to make sure that your males are also doing things properly. Do they have foam (sperm) near there vent if you turn them up side down.
You can always section off the incubator based on when they are due. I have a friend that has eggs hatching all at different times...
I have been research since reading this post and I will set 120 quail without turning to see what happens. I have watched ducks incubate eggs and know that some of the eggs never get moved.
Some say that chickens only move the top layer of eggs to get comfortable.
I have heard old people...
Your local feed store may have high protein fish feed. It is usually about 30% or more. I am considering it for my quail.
I don't want to deal with grinding cat feed.
I also considered growing earth worms in compost.
Meal worms are easy to grow. A couple of dollars worth of live meal worms...
I understand that this thread is old but the information is still relevant. Also the same people that complain about old threads also say use the search feature which will bring up old threads.
Has anyone else tried hatching quail eggs without any turning? Did you get handicap chicks?
Thanks
For the smell get some pool DE and about 5" of bedding mixed in at the bottom. (DE Lowes, homedepot, Walmart)
The DE breaks down the poop and kills inspects naturally.
Honestly your pin is fairly empty I image you will be adding more and the summer heat will make it worse.
I had 4 chickens...
