    my roo is the only one to growl when he heres something strange the girls just get quiet. i think the growl is a warning for ariel predators and there is a different noise for ground predators i just havnt heard it yet.

    lol thats true its kind of anoying but when they come back he always lets them eat and drink, wierdest thing. they are still to young to breed so the girls probably dont even no whats happening.

    it all depends on the breed some lay sooner then others i have cochins who wont start laying until about a year and then i have BRs who will lay around 25 weeks

    i saw the same thing with a little falcon. he was about half the size of my girls so i didnt worry to much but he was swooping at them and he got my rooster ticked off. after my roo jumped at him he flew away.

    could just be her personality some of my chickens fall asleep on my lap and others jump off and run like i am goin to kill them. lol
