How to use wazine to deworm flock

Thank you!! So just use it for one day, return to normal water, then use it for one day again? No probiotics or any other medication? I am not starting on it quite yet as I brought a fecal sample in to my vet so I am waiting to hear back about what type of worm they think we have.

Worms and other bugs in poop

Well the poop looked moist and not dried out so I was assuming it was from the prior night. However, we did just return from vacation and I had not cleaned the coop for 2 weeks so there's that. I didn't really look at them very closely, I just sort of acting rash and fast and I regret not...

How to use wazine to deworm flock

So I am going to start deworming my flock tomorrow but am very disappointed with the directions that came with wazine. Can someone please explain to me what I should do with it? I know you put it in their water, but for how long? Also, do you need to use probiotics after? And also I have read...

Worms and other bugs in poop

So today I was cleaning the coop and I noticed some white worms that were wiggling around in a piece of poop. I was very grossed out-as I have never had to deal with anything like this before- so I quick just shoveled the poop in the bag and tried to clean the coop faster. However, I wished I...

    Baby monitor for coop?

I would prefer the video one, as I feel like the audio wouldn't ease any of my concerns. I just like to see things. I'm not sure about the light though, they will probably get use to it. I used to put a lantern in my coop for when I just transferred my chicks outside, and I do not think it...

    Switch Food?

Ok I will definitely look for the mites tomorrow:) This next week they will probably be confined because of the rain, so I will see what happens egg wise. I think I might go back to Purina and see what happens

    Switch Food?

Thank you for your response! This has been slowly happening since August-September though, every week just less and less. Could that be the case? Do you think it's more likely something physical or something wrong with them, like an illness?

    Switch Food?

I do not think that anything has been changed to cause them stress. It's been the same 7 chickens in my flock since their birth and haven't added any new birds, or had any change to my flock recently. We do have predators like coyotes around, but where the chickens are situated in our yard...

I have 20 chickens, and we have to rent.

First off, I am very sorry:( That stinks. Chicken are like family. I would definitely speak to the owners of properties you are interested in, but I'm not sure how many renters would allow that. It is always worth a try:) A plan B would be to find someone to home the chickens(besides theses...

    Switch Food?

Hi all! I need your input. A little background info first: So, my chickens are 11 month olds and up until about 3 months ago were on Purina Laying Feed(except the medicated chick feed when they were chicks). I think it worked well for our flock, we were getting about 6-7 eggs per day and we...

    Way less eggs than normal

Hi guys! Thanks for the input! They have a pretty big run, but it would be pretty obvious if they were hiding the eggs because it's all dirt. They do free-range, but supervised. I'll keep my eyes out for the eggs, and I've seen some feathers around the coop but I thought it was my broody.
