So I am planning on going to a show soon and was just wondering a couple of things...
1. what is a good way to transport them back to your home? I was thinking a cat carrier.
2. Should the chickens I purchase be kept in separate carriers? I am looking to get a silkie, a polish and a wyandotee...
So this is the 3rd hatchery I have dealt with. First there were a couple orders from Mcmurray, then went for MPC to add 7 more to the flock. Now Recently I tried Nature's Hatchery, and saw that unlike MPC they were still evidently according to their site, selling certain breeds of chickens in...
I don't know if this is at all helpful, but MPC has a breed selection tool you can use......

Good question, had the same one myself. Standard chickens are pretty big, i feel like most cats couldn't handle it but not entirely sure... Interested to hear some responses
Hey All! We just got 7 chicks a week ago, and have almost finished our coop, however we have hit a bump in what to cover the run with. We live in the suburbs, and have a nice big fenced in yard in which we plan to let them have a free run of. When they are in the run obviously it will only be...
I was looking into this solution too. What I have found is that it seems to work for a lot of people, although most posts do mention that hawks are excellent fliers in every aspect. I would think it would at least give your chickens more time to run for cover, but then again, hawks have amazing...
