Yeah I'm aware of the wait to first harvest. I'm just not seeing anything pop through the ground. Worst case, I'll leave them for a year! They had some mildew on them from sitting damp in plastic, so I'm concerned I may have killed the crowns before planting time! Live and learn!

@abigalerose You're going to see a big dip in your utility bill with your roommates gone! Like LG, when my daughter moved out, my utilities dropped $100/month! I recently moved to a much bigger house, and I've been trying all kinds of things to lower utilities.

I just couldn't wait any longer! My gardening itch was too strong. I planted some apple seeds my grandson gave me, anise hyssop, valerian, and Angelica. They may never sprout, but I scratched the itch!
I ordered 2 XL heating pads to have along with my regular sized one! I'm getting 25 CXs the end of March, so my regular one just wouldn't do. I also hope to get some ducks, a couple of turkeys, and more hens. Hopefully not all at once!
