Nothing comes to mind that you can soak it in. The solutions that would dissolve the adhesive would not be good for its foot. Depending on how far you want to go I would get what are called "flush cut" pliers. Pretty common and you should be able to insert the end (it comes to a point)...

Ok so I've read that on other posts. But wouldn't it make it oily to where I cant grip the tape to pull it off. I feel like that wouldn't help.

So pfields: How to I put it on the tape to get the tape off. Surely putting on the outside won't work. So how do I put it on the inside? And won't it make it greasy to where I cant get good grip to pull it off? I don't know what goo gone is. Is it safe for my chick?
