don't know if I have splash ameraucanas - looking for pics

Quote: Let me try to be perfectly clear. Calm down. I was not accusing you of blasting anyone. The purpose of my post was to inform and educate others who might read your comments to conclude that all Ameraucana breeders and/or egg sellers were dishonest and I wanted them to know that was...

don't know if I have splash ameraucanas - looking for pics

Quote: Thanks for the info, I actually wrote thanks for the help before the last person accused me of saying that all Ameraucana breeders were scammers, which I didn't. Wanted to clear that up, because I have ordered eggs from reputable Ameraucana breeders before and have been very...

Quote: Just for everyone's information, not all the "other people who sell Ameraucanas" take their bluest eggs and put a blue light on them. What you see is what you get with my eggs and I'm happy to provide several references to folks who are happy to tell you about their experience in...

don't know if I have splash ameraucanas - looking for pics

The picture of the eggs are not the ones they send. Like other people who sell Ameraucanas, they take their bluest eggs and put a blue light on them. They sent green eggs, also the chicks I hatched from them should've been from blue Ameraucanas, as they have in the picture...but if that were...

don't know if I have splash ameraucanas - looking for pics

Thanks a bunch for the pics and info. I realize that I definitely bought easter egger eggs off of a person claiming to have pure bred Americaunas. I guess this happens a lot. For anyone buying Ameraucana eggs off ebay, don't buy from davis-farms.

don't know if I have splash ameraucanas - looking for pics

I hatched some eggs that were supposed to be pure bred Ameraucanas, but some of the chicks look like EEs due to the stripes down the back. I'm guessing they're probably Splash Ameraucanas... does anyone have a picture of a splash ameraucana baby chick for comparison? I can't find any since...

Mix purebred Ameraucana with Easter Egger

I was wondering...If I mix a pure bred Ameraucana roo with Easter Egger hens, will thier offspring be more likely to lay blue eggs? Or would it be the same as if I mixed two Easter Eggers?

    Great info, thanks!

    Humidity

Is there a good way to ensure around 50 percent humidity in an incubator without any type guage? How can you tell if it's too humid in the incubator?

    Ameraucana hatching eggs

I purchased hatching eggs from someone online who claimed they were from pure bred Ameraucanas. The eggs in the picture looked very blue, but the ones I recieved are extremely light blue and a little discolored. Does this mean that they are not pure bred or are true Ameraucana eggs very light blue?

    Separating chicks in small incubator

Hi, I am planning on incubating the same breed of chicken but from different people so when I start breeding I will not have inbred chickens. It sounds crazy, but I would like to separate the two batches of eggs in the incubator, so when the chicks hatch they will stay separate and I can put...
