Thanks for sharing your story! I adopted a blind chick from rural king. She is incredibly smart and sorta funny to watch. She weaves her head around like Stevie Wonder did when he played piano! She is about 6 weeks old, but I still have her in the brooder box with the baby chicks because they...
That is so adorable. I take them outside every day to get used to it--I know they're ready, but I'm gonna have to make the separate enclosure for acclimation to the rest of the tribe since the outside ones try to peck at the younger ones when they're outside with them. It's like 95 degrees out...
So I've got two chickies that are definitely old enough to be outside with the other 5, but they've become so tame that I'm having trouble bringing myself to do it. Right now I've turned the inside brooder box into a condominium to avoid having to put them outside. They sit and perch on the edge...

Alright guys, I'm back again with questions regarding the same chick chicks, but they're older and I have better pictures. I'd definitely like opinions on the genders of all of them, but there are a few that I'd like to know the breeds.
1.) This is Bootsie. I know it's a bantam (the tiniest...
So I do this thing when I buy chicks where I get so excited that I'm getting new chicks that I don't even bother to see what they've labelled the breeds as. Pardon the messy box in the picture, as it needs cleaning out today.
This is my little bantam something or other. She is the biggest...
