    Help me decide please

I was thinking about putting both of them with the chicks too. I like to let them out in the yard when I start mingling them so everyone has more space to run away if one decides to be rude lol. thank you

    Help me decide please

ok a little back story. I have 4 chickens, one of them (Henny), my neighbor gave to me when she moved. She is fine in my little flock but she is sorta the outcast. My BR (Salt) is pretty aggressive towards her. Salt is a bully. Anyway I have 3 new brahama chicks (about 2 months old) who have...

    Younge male muscovy duck

He was feed starter grow non medicated and then switched to all flock about 2 weeks ago. He will be 3 months August 13th. Angle wing is when the last joint of there wing bone is twisted but they arnt twisted at all so I dont believe it's that. The only thing I could find that might be it, is...

    Younge male muscovy duck

This might be a better picture to show the growth of the wings and how far the hang down from his body. He does pull them up sometimes but it just seems like they are really heavy for him.

    Younge male muscovy duck

Non of his feathers nor wing joints are growing away from his body. They look normal just large, not turned outward or deformed. So I'm almost 100% sure it's not angle wing. I rarely ever feed my ducks or chickens white bread. Maybe one every 3 months. Because I know it's really bad for them...

    Younge male muscovy duck

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could sooth my mind a bit. I got a duckling mid May that i believe had a very bad niacin deficiency from hatch. (He wasnt able to walk strate. Just ran in tight circles) anyway he is about 3 months now, still off balance but is doing great but his wings...

    Chicken adopted duck eggs

Thank you everyone for your help. I did a homemade incubator a couple of years ago with a styrofoam cooler and all the eggs hatched. Of course I looked up a lot on the turning and everything. I just assumed hens stopped turning there eggs close to hatch day too lol. I do know muscovy duck eggs...

    Chicken adopted duck eggs

So my muscovy duck layed a clutch of eggs and about 2 weeks before hatch day, a racoon attacked her and she abandoned the nest. 5 days later I went to take out the nest and eggs (most eaten) 2 of them, however, where still alive after I candled them and saw movement. So I put the eggs under one...

    Chicken not laying.

I definitely enjoy having her around. She is still my favorite even after she changed from the accident. She has so much personality. :-)

    Chicken not laying.

She is only a year old and hasn't been broody for a couple of months. I know they don't need roosters to lay eggs. But I was thinking she would feel safer with one around so it would get her back in balance. I don't see any balding spot on her but she is getting a few new neck feathers. I would...

    When will she lay?

There comb will start to grow rapidly and turn bright red a week or so before they start to lay. My Easter eggs took 6 months to start laying. I know it's hard but be patient:-)

    Chicken not laying.

Ok so a little back story here. When Blanche (my easter egger chick) was maybe 4 months old she was attacked by something. Not any big gashes. She somehow ended up in the front yard over a 7 foot fence and had 2 small puncture marks on her neck. She was also in shock, so for a month I had to for...

    identify Gender of Muscovy

Yes I was thinking the same thing but the mother duck took all the other ducklings. Jeffery was the only one left behind because it was to exhausted to walk and the mother duck already waited over 2 hours for the fire department to get all the duckling out of the storm drain. So I'm hoping...

    identify Gender of Muscovy

Can someone please tell me the sex of my muscovy duckling. It's about 6 weeks old. I found it in a storm drain when it was about 2-3 days old so I only have the one. These where pics of it today. If you need a different angle or something just let me know. Thank you.
