Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could sooth my mind a bit. I got a duckling mid May that i believe had a very bad niacin deficiency from hatch. (He wasnt able to walk strate. Just ran in tight circles) anyway he is about 3 months now, still off balance but is doing great but his wings look HUGE now. They almost drag on the floor when he walks. It has me concerned because I do not know if it's normal or not. This is my first drake and I dont know if his wings are supposed to be that big. Is this normal for younge drake's or should I be a little worried. He looks like his body needs to grow to catch up to his wings now.

Here are some pics of him

That almost looks like angel wing
Non of his feathers nor wing joints are growing away from his body. They look normal just large, not turned outward or deformed. So I'm almost 100% sure it's not angle wing. I rarely ever feed my ducks or chickens white bread. Maybe one every 3 months. Because I know it's really bad for them. They get regular all flock feed and any veggies and fruits that we give to them if we arnt going to eat it ourselves.

This might be a better picture to show the growth of the wings and how far the hang down from his body. He does pull them up sometimes but it just seems like they are really heavy for him.

It may be angelwing or a similar issue, I believe too much protein early on can cause issues, what was he fed as a little 'ling? :) How old is he again?
He was feed starter grow non medicated and then switched to all flock about 2 weeks ago. He will be 3 months August 13th. Angle wing is when the last joint of there wing bone is twisted but they arnt twisted at all so I dont believe it's that. The only thing I could find that might be it, is heavy feathers that he dosnt have the muscle tone to lift normally yet, or he droops them to let off excess heat. I dont know though and they just look alot bigger then when my female muscovy was that age. Also since he had problems when he was hatched maybe it's because of that or maybe it's just because he is a male. I honestly dont know, but I'm sure it is not angle wing.
