My dad doesn't think a chicken is a pet.

I love my pets they sure are not money makers. I would have to have a huge farm before I could break even. Pets yes. I had one trained to sit on my shoulder as I walked around... I could pat my head and he would fly up and sit. I was 12 and yes it looked funny. O:> O {} ll

Bantam Owners Out There - Give Me Your Opinion, Please...

They are fast movers and a bit shy- flighty. Survival of the fittest I guess. If your able to work with them when they are chicks they will follow you like dogs.

    Bantams And Egg Laying

I have 2 girls about 18 weeks old. Does this breed tend to lay eggs at a later age? I had one for almost 6 months and never got an egg one! These are a mix, one is a dom x banty and the other is a red comet x banty.

    update on my hatch..40min drive.washed /fridged eggs.108 temp.

To update everyone I tossed out 26 eggs... clear both the 21st batch and the 23rd batch. The 23rd batch is the one I drove to get and found that the lady had washed them and put them in the fridge. It looks like I have a few more that may not be anything but at 21 for now. Notice the dark spot!
