Hey Poultrycrazy,
This bird does not look show quality to me. I dont like the overall type and to much white in base if tail.A little tall for what I like it does have a pretty green sheen tho.
There is no Old English Game Bantam Variety that will have yellow/green/willow legs. Bantam Standard disqualifies for any shank color other than that described for the variety. Most Old English will have white, blue, black and slate blue with minor variations.
I'm lucky and dont have neighbors now for about 1 mile, but when I did I would always give the dog owners one chance to take care of the animal even if it killed one of my livestock. I think everybody deserves that chance, but the second time you come in my yard or bother my animals and this may...
This is an auction for one of my BQ/SQ Trios of Male Line Crele old English. These are straight from my breeder pens. The cockerel is 09 and the two hens are 08. They are Ronny Ledford and Jake Lail line. I purchased all my birds from Ronny Ledford back in 09. I consider Ronny to be one of the...
NYREDS said it best. The back has no definition and the angle is much higher than 45 degrees. I would not breed from him because of those traits, but if I was going to keep him I would dubb him. I dont keep a cock on my place that is not dubbed except for a few female line breeders.
I have two Crele OE broody and a Spangle that just hatched four chicks three days ago. I hatch out about 300-500 OE in the bator each year, but when I get done hatching I just leave the eggs in the nest and you can count on a few of them going broody once they get about 5-7 eggs.
They was one up your way today. I forget the name of it. The poultry Press is a good way to keep up with all the shows and most shows here in the south are on the same weekend every year or close.
I have been using water nipples for about a year with all my chickens, turkeys and ducks. I have not had any problems and do not plan on using anything else. I use the 360 degree push-in nipple from Farm Tek. I just take a 11/32 drill bit and drill a hole in whatever size jug I want and then push...
Thats a tough pick. I have both and neither one ever lets me down. My heating element did break last year in my GQF but it runs pretty much none stop all year every year.
I use Faithway 22% Super Layer pellets for my old english. I dont know if this feed is available in other places besides the southeast but alot of show fanciers in the south feed this. I also feed mine oyster shell, grit and try to get my show birds on grass as much as possible.
I have Black and Blue Jersey Chicks between day old and 4 weeks old. These are very nice Giants out of my Maria Hall Blue Roos and my line of Blacks that I have been breeding for a few years. Pick Up Only Please leave the auction running and just e-mail me what your looking for. $5.00 a piece...
