Hey everyone! So my sister and i are getting 2 Flemish Giants (rabbits) and we would put them in a huge outdoor run. the floor would be concrete. And there wouldn't be any top on the cage. (the sides are like 5ft tall i think. I was scared a big bird would swoop down and take it off the groung...
my duck is laying right now!!! 3 tonight i counted. but so far none of hatched. but she layed them yesturday so in about 35 days or 28 they may hatch. I'll keep you updated!!! (if you want me to)
I am so happy to say my duck has laid an egg!! Unfortuently it was broken. But i was wondering if you should give them oyster shells so the shell is harder. again I was so happy i cried my duck is my baby LOL I also have 2 silkie roosters could they have broken the eggs? my drake seems harmless...
First. I think your ducks will be okay in -2 wind chill but if they are sensitive to the cold bulid them a house aka a coop or a little house to go inside the coop (makes it even more snug) or a heat lamp but make sure it is safe so your coop or whatever doesn't burn.
what i would do is keep the cat out of the coop. make a bed for the cat so it has some where else to sleep and maybe if you do make a new house train the cat to know that this is where you sleep. (by giving it treats and pets in the new bed) Hope this helped
You can do that. I put my ducklings with my 2 roosters and they become family. your chicks will probably think they are the ducks kids so they will be alright. at first the ducks may peck at them but will soon stop but if the ducks try to hurt the chicks then maybe take them away.
hey this seems to work for my ducks and chickens i bought a heated dog bowl and put a piece a ply wood over half of it (you dont have to put a piece of wood on it but i have ducks so there wouldnt be any water left in it my the next minute.) :)) but that works great if you have ducks you have to...
