Am very happy this subject has come up, because what I am finding in my readings is that 65% corn is in the name brand poultry feeds. Have no idea if the people saying this are correct....but is interesting and makes me wonder as I have always been told too much corn makes a chicken...

Would have to say my favorite breed is the Hamburg. A beautiful small breed which lays(alot)of small white eggs. They are an active breed, and some say they are shy and flighty. Got mine also from Meyers......have been very pleased.

Have you considered Hamburgs? Their eggs are small but you get many of them. A beautiful bird like your Campines and just as flighty...but I love to watch them.
