So I was out looking for .y white leghorn and came Across these. I have 6 new chicken that just started laying . I have no idea how long these eggs have been here. Is there a way to tell if they are still good?
Oh my momma was off her nest this morning and I have #1 pipping as I came out this afternoon I'm hearing lost of chirping!!! I wish mamma would move so I could see!
Just checked on my b roody she started with 9 or so I thought she now has12 and 1 hatched but died. When I was checking I found 3 that weren't numbered or marked but appear to be developing. What do I do? I do not have an incubator.
I have 1 rooster around a year old and 16 hens this is the worst looking one. Should I take the rooster away from the hens to give the girls a break? The one in the puck is around 3 Yes old
Thanks everyone she was off the nest eating yesterday so I numbered the eggs 9 and also marked the air sacs. One of the eggs was definitely behind the others but seemed to have life in it. Most are pretty dark and full but you could see the veins and development of a chick in this one. Fingers...

Thanks yes she got off the nest when the chicks were hatching and they got cold and died. I managed to successfully hatch one. That is until it knocked the cover off the broader and flew out and the dog thought he would help by bringing it to us.
