Looking for Easter Eggers or Americanas and a young friend for my poor lonely Honk, who I am thinking is a gander, haven't found any eggs :( .
I may bring if anyone is interested, all roosters approx 1 year old, 1 white leghorn, 1 black cochin batam/silkie cross (little guy) and 1 grey/blue? and...
I had fun. Wish there would have been some turkeys, but, oh well. Got rid of my extras and picked up a ducky and a goose that thinks it's a duck.
Sumatra, Was it one of the chickies you got off of me? I forgot to warn you, they were pretty friendly at home. The gooses voice I think dropped an...

Hopefully I did that right, if not do a search for eye worm on here.
VETRX works good for this.
Hope your turkey gets better.
Ok that didn't work. do the search in diseases section.
Aren't keets sooooo cute. I would say they are under a week old. To double check the coloring check out www.guineafowlinternational.com
They have some very good info. Hope you have fun with your babies. I think I'm up to about 20 adults now, I just love their antics.

Quail QT,
I am about 20 miles or so south east of Dubois.
I will actually drive through on the way.
I can't wait till Saturday, this will get my mind off my little Muttonhead, he died last night.
He was almost like a dog.
But going to have fun no matter what.
Yipppeeee!!!!!! I've always wanted to go to a chickenstock. All I have found here in Clearfield County is the annual bird swap and last year I think there was only 15 or so sellers there, and mostly pheasants and peafowl. I did luck out and get some black spanish turkey poults though. So far...
Guinea eggs are pretty good. Shells are alot harder usually. The eggs are usually kinda triangle shape, but I have one whose eggs look like my silkie mix eggs. The eggs are usually about medium size. Chicken does look like a guinea.
The silkies I have mostly just make a soft clucking unless something is up, the roo does have a pretty good crow.
My younger silkies don't weigh much but the older ones seem to be a bit heavier.
I have my silkies mainly to brood for other birds eggs. They have even shared nests of hatching eggs...
Hi all,
To RIR fan, I'm in Clearfield County.
And yes it is very zoo like at times, especially cause I get to do most of it myself, hubby helps some when we have to haul water and that, but the rest is me. But, I love it, so call me nutty.
Hi. I have had chickens on and off since I don't remember when. My family consists of 1 very tolerant husband , 2 beagles, 4 cats, 2 box turtles, some fish, 1 nubian goat, 2 alpine goats (mom & daughter), 3 jersey beef calves, 14 guinea fowl, 6 ducks and around 40 chickens. All my children...
I'm going against the grain and saying male. All the Silkies I have had all decided to wait to tell me what they were. I have one that I swore was a hen until at about 30 weeks "she" crowed. But they are such sweett birds who cares male or female unless breeding.
