hey guys! On august 7, I ordered 3 chicks...a buff brahma, a golden laced Wyandotte, and an easter egger. Well, the sent me an extra chick and I don't know what she is! I thought they had sent two easter eggers, but she's totally different posture to all of the rest. She's a beautiful creamy...
So...This morning I got an egg, I'm guessing from Luna, that was almost transparent the shell was so thin, but it was hard, so I know there was some calcium on it. I switched the food from medicated starter to layer feed with oyster shell...could the oyster shells be doing this? Getting too...

No. In fact they all started laying a little bit early...they're around 4 month old, and we've been getting eggs for about two weeks. Also I'm not sure that egg was from her...I was just curious because it was dIfferent quality than other eggs I've been getting. It does look like it's a calcium...
hey guys. One of my Isa Browns is either eggbound or has some sort of perintonitis...she has that hump on her back, tail down and lethargic. I checked her vent and there was a bit of what looked and felt like water, not slimy like an egg white, and she hasn't passed any shell or anything...

I am wondering the same thing! I was thinking MAYBE sand would be good, and it could be cleaned like a litter box? But I'm not sure, I'm not an expert. It just gets pretty gross up there pretty quickly.
Hey guys! I have 4 golden comets, two OEG silver duckwing bantams, and two barred rocks, one of which is a rooster. So, the bantams and goldens are a couple weeks older than the barred rock, they hatched on March 9th. At least two of them are laying already, as well as my bantam is starting to...
