Chicken will not stop drinking water

Well, its not lash, maybe the start of it. It turns out tried to lay an egg, it broke inside of her and rotted. I got the egg shell and a majority of the rot out. Here's what I did: I set her on a treatment of fish zole. 1 pill a day for 5 days, today was her last treatment. Fish zole can fight...

Chicken will not stop drinking water

Alright, so there is a development to this and I'm not sure what to do, or where to take this. Today I was feeling and looking her over after getting home and I feel this large lump in her abdomen. So, I think the blockage of whatever it was, was coming out. So, I get her, a syringe with water...

Chicken will not stop drinking water

I noticed my hen was acting funny the other day, she was just showing signs. I kept an eye on her the whole day, when I noticed she wasn't getting back to normal that evening I picked her up. Immediately she started throwing up water, her crop was so full of water, just picking it up caused it...

    HELP ASAP!

I'm so sorry about your girl! I looked at the thread that said maybe something was stuck, and maybe something was? But I did look in her beak, and nothing was stuck. Just so much clear, chunky fluid. I know she was eggbound for sure, but eggbound wouldn't cause a chicken to have mucus in their...

    HELP ASAP!

The salivating is excessive, her comb has flopped over, I really can't see anything else, other than her vent still looking like its pushing. I'm sorry.

    HELP ASAP!

I ran inside to quickly write this up, so around 9 one of my hens was screaming to get into a nesting box, so I went to check it out. Next to her, perching was one of my girls, hunched, eyes closed and salivating. Chickens aren't supposed to be doing that, so I knew something was wrong. I picked...

I sadly don't atm, I do have the outside of his beak, the bag is still in the box as we haven't opened it just yet. Here is the outside of his beak, we had used fish zole with his canker in his mouth, with worked but in the end it came back. its blurry, I know, the camera I have is bad at...

    Copper Sulfate

I'm not sure if it is acidified I bought it off of a hatchery website. I have fish zole, not enough for half of my flock(29 chickens in all) And it wasn't strong enough, as one that we had given fish zole too, got rid of it yet it came back. So we are now going to try Copper Sulfate.

    Copper Sulfate

So, some of my flock has signs of canker and we just got the copper sulfate in the mail. I'm wondering, because our ducks live with our chickens, if they can have it. If anyone can give me the correct amount of how much copper sulfate I can use per gallon that'd be great. For chickens we have a...

I I was told 5-7 days, so for him I did 7 full days, with the 250mg I'm afraid to do the copper sulfate because if I mess up, its deadly, y'know?

    Again? (Canker)

So, My silkie rooster, Timmy, the one who had canker before seems to have it again. Thankfully it doesn't look as bad. I'll have to get pictures tomorrow as its getting dark out. He just got over this whole thing at least 2 weeks ago. I let him back with the flock after his treatment was done, I...

Fowl Pox? Or am I being a worry wart?

Oh, alright. I just don't want them to get frost bite from spraying something wet on them then putting them back in the coop. Our coop can't be heated, we have a huge propane tank right next to it. If something was to heat up, or catch on fire, it'd explode.

Fowl Pox? Or am I being a worry wart?

So, I first soak my chickens feet in warm water and Epson salt and scrub them up thoroughly. And then I dry them off and lather on some Vaseline. Around where I am there is really no stores or vets to actually get supplies or get help. The closest exotic pet/ farm animal vet is 2...
