I have a few goose eggs I wanted to put in the incubator but one has a very tiny crack on the pointy end of the egg. If I were to put nail polish on it does it need to be clear or can I use a colored polish
No I haven’t But it looks like the air cells have grown a bit. The temperature was 2 degrees lower than it should have been for a bit so it may just be because of that
Hey so I’m on day 30 of the goose eggs and so far can’t see any internal pips I candled then and it looks like I could see the yolk on top by the air cell so that one is malpositioned I just can’t see it’s beak.
It’s probably because because of how he was positioned in the egg. It should work it’s self out, but you can always make him little boots to keep his leg in the right spot
Yeah they still need milk they aren’t supposed to be weaned until 8 weeks. Can you check their eyelids for anemia? They could have some internal parasites.
What my aunt did when she hatched wild turkey eggs were that as soon as they hatched and fluffed up she took them to a wildlife rehabilitator to be raised and released
I had a baby chick that had this problem. I hatched 10 eggs and all its siblings grew fine but it stayed the size of a newly hatched baby. at 4 weeks old i found it dead in the brooder.
