I'm sorry for responding so slowly this morning. I have a terrible migraine.
I do see the full veins but it's not far from finishing absorbing the blood. I can't see the bill but if it's where @julskinka is suggesting you can carefully open a small area in the membrane between blood vessels to let oxygen in. If you decide to do that and accidentally hit a blood vessel then apply light pressure with a q-tip and continue to wait. You can also wait until the blood is almost completely gone and then go in to investigate. This is a safer method to not nick any blood vessels but timing is very very important so the chick doesn't suffocate.

Mine just got word they're home til mid-April. So, need to start coming up with experiments here too. Haha.

We have dozens and dozens of eggs that I can use. People will probably complain I'm experimenting with eggs

I'll wait till later tonight to see if it absorbs the blood more. I don't want to kill another one.

I'm scared I want to pull it's bill out so it's not stuck in there drowning. My husband said he'd let me keep it if I can save it.

Well last night I moved my broody to her very own quarters in the basement. The other hens were starting to pick on her and I think she has officially lost 2 eggs from her original clutch, leaving her with 3 eggs on D13. I am over the moon because I was afraid moving her would break her, but she's stayed on!

I let her keep all of the eggs that were in the box with her, 6 total, but only 3 are on D13. The other three would be one D2 right now . I'll move them to a bator when the other eggs hatch I guess?

What breed of goose? I asked for average days to hatch for the breed to put them on lockdown but a lot of people wait until draw down of the air cell. Geese on average hatch somewhere between 28-35 days.

They are mixed the baby should be a Toulouse buff cross. Today’s day 28 for them
