No bears that I've heard of, at least in our part of the county. My half of Newark is actually Wise Co. but we're just a stones throw away from Tarrant.

    Texas

Hello yall. Newark, TX here (North of Ft Worth). Very new to chickens in that our property has been adopted by our neighbor's flock. We're animal lovers who currently have 3 pitties, 2 cats, and a leopard gecko in the house. From what I've learned so far, the flock is American Gamefowl. Just...

    No clue what they are

    Very new to chickens

They've told us they're tired of dealing with them, which tells me they don't care but we do care. As it is right now, they're nesting in a wrecked truck and old stable on my property. We've been neighbors for 12 yrs and this isnt the 1st time we've ended up caring for their animals.

Also we've recently had another rooster coming into our yard (white tail). We also have an orphaned chick (yellow) and another chick that we know...

    Very new to chickens

We live in the countey, and it seems our neighbor's decided they no longer feel the need to keep their chickens on their property. The flock appears to be 1 rooster and originally 8, now 7 hens...
