I have a couple of welsummers and barred rock that are 9 months old, and have never ever, laid one single egg! I have them on a good protein diet, I feed them Cock Mix-19% protein and Layena. Perhaps they are sterile...when should I give up????

Well hanging it off the ground didn't work, they emptied 16lbs of pellets from the feeder, then they poop & pee all over the pellets on the ground...And they won't eat it!

If her local feed stores can't special order it, have look at pet stores, parrots and other pet birds get oyster shells. Also you can mail it to her in a flat rate envelope, since its very heavy.

I buy cock mix, it contains raw lentils, chickens love it! My chickens also love them sprouted, I soak them over night too...

thanks for all the advice!! I just wanted to produce gourmet eggs. I see I have to let them free range more and feed them more greens.
