    Male or female

    I purchased this red and blue Wyandotte as a chick with three other chicks. I bought them as female. I am suspicious that this is a male. Could anyone help me identify this young chicken? Oh, he/she is just about 5 months old.

    bright blue ear lobes

    My 9 month old Ameraucana has bright blue ear lobes! I have never seen this on any of my other Ameraucanas or any of the other chickens. Is this natural? Or is this a medical issue?

    chicks and broody hen

    I just added 4 chicks to my flock. I had 2 broody hens, so I was going to give 2 chicks to each hen. One hen rejected the chicks and my other hen has already raised chicks, so she now has all 4. Luckily, the hen that rejected the chicks did not hurt them. Just wanted to let everyone know how...

    Multiple Broodies

    I have 3 broody hens. I was thinking about giving each broody some chicks to raise. Has anyone done this with multiple broodies? If so, do the chicks get to interact with each other, do they mix up 'moms'? Any tips would be appreciated. Happy cluckin'!
