    Chicken keeping without coops or with mutiple coops

    I lost a lot of chickens to one cayote and the last two are now free ranging and i have found that your coop may be well built but the predators just keep trying until they find a way,it may be easier for the predators to go after free ranging chickens,but they aren't confined to their doom.

    I have a rhode island red that layed on the other chickens eggs and i would be the only one she would let close, the others she peck and growl at. She also took out some of her chest feathers and most of her belly feathers. My guess was that she was broody. What do you'll think?

    the coop is to small for 32 chickens. build on to the current coop to make it 128 square feet. your nest should be off the ground, are they?
