Yeah I an totally stumped, I don't really know how those places work so I am not sure how they would get mixed, but i'm sure it happens. I just couldn't resist the sale lol...I got some really pretty birds and then some random birds, like I bought blue jersey giants and ended up with blue...
Yeah I was thinking that until I saw the super dark red eggs, so I was wondering if it was a mix, the legs are pinkish, and the eggs way too dark red for even first time laying bielefelder right?
So I bought a mixed bag from TSC when they were 50 cents, but I am stumped, I have 3 altogether of them ...they are laying the reddish eggs on the right, and the reddish purple egg in the center on the bottom....I'm stumped on these lol
Hmmm weird...my husband ordered the assortment for me. I ended up with a strange mix. I got a blue andalusian, salmon faverolle, black copper marans, 3 bielefelders, 2 blue jersey giants, 2 dark brahmas, a welsummer and her as my 12 chicks?!? I just looked at their page too and didn't see most...
A hatchery assortment, hence my issue...she doesn't look like my other welsummer, she has quite a bit of dark on her comparatively, but hatchery birds can be way off i suppose haha. I just dig her eggs and i want more
Help still trying to figure this hen out...she started laying some pretty dark eggs...her egg is pictured next rhode island, australorp, buff orpington, a leghorn, and cream legbar eggs. It's actually a bit darker than the photos show and now I'm extra confused.
Okay thanks...if this helps...
Rooster... Pullet A.
Pullet B. ...well there are 2 different breeds, I have a couple of each and 1 rooster version of 1 or the other ... sorry I should have provided more photos...
I can try...I pulled some off and tried to take pics, but they didn't turn out...they are pretty all over the feathers with very few on the skin, and really tiny way smaller than fleas...let me go try to take some more photos.
Just me and what I read online, i completely gutted my coop and sprayed every nook and cranny and then sprayed the girls only to check them today and still covered in mites...they do free range about a 3 acre area...i can take photos of the mites and post i could have missidentified them, as...
I cleaned out my coop from top to bottom, sprayed permethrin, layed down diatamaceous earth, treated all of the girls with permethrin spray and am still stuck with loads of mites. I tried the all natural way first with no results by the way...what else can I do to kick these pests?
Thanks guys, I thought they were originally too, then I watched youtube, and it went downhill from there, and I was nearly 100% convinced they were boys lol
You tube faverolle sexing videos lol :) I don't now how black is considered rooster black, it's more of a grayish, it just started happening over the last week or so, I'm hoping it goes away, the others are like the coloring in this one......that's why I was concerned.
