    Would neighborhood cats be considered predators? We lost 2 of our girls today and the only animals we've seen near the birds are neighborhood cats. One the head Is missing the other was torn to shreds. Not even eaten. Looks like a sport kill.

I ripped a 2x4 down to 2 1/2" based on what I've read chickens like, also for cold whee so that their feet are covered in cold weather. the ladies were roosting on the nesting box even though it's lower than the roosting bar.     Family of three on 1.25 acres. Garden, beekeeping, composting, and now chickens. 4 americaunas. We got easter eggers on a recommendation for having a young toddler. Not sure what else you all need to know. We look forward to being in the community.
