Young Hen Has Stopped Laying - Thoughts?

I'd say her comb is a bit pale? Noticeably more pale than that of her coop mate who is laying each day. She's just over six months old. Been in upper 80's here recently. I haven't noticed her going in the egg boxes or squatting. She was laying daily for a couple of weeks before her eye swelled up.

Young Hen Has Stopped Laying - Thoughts?

Exactly a week ago I noticed my Cream Legbar had one eye that was swollen shut. I immediately took her to the avian vet and after examination was told she probably got pecked/scratched in the eye and she should be fine. Sign of hens about to lay?

Sign of hens about to lay?

Hahaha! All in good fun with the wife! She thinks that my raising of the chickens is ridiculous, so she likes to give me a hard time. She's been nice enough to allow me to drop a bunch of $ on this whole thing. So that's cool! Thank for the reply!

Sign of hens about to lay?

I hope so! I've got a Cream Legbar and a Rhodebar. The breeder told me could be any time from last weekend through the next two or three weeks? Thanks for the reply!

Sign of hens about to lay?

Newbie here. My two hens are almost exactly 5 months old. As far as I know they have reached the age to start laying. They've been good about almost never going into the nesting boxes up to this point, which I've heard is good thing until they're ready to lay. Yesterday I noticed that perfect...
