we have 5 hens and one rooster the all go in the coop at night by themselves but for some reason the rooster stays on the floor of the coop. Nothing seems wrong with him but I have noticed he doesn’t try to get to higher spots like the hens. Is this normal or is he maybe afraid of Heights...
Hey wanted to give an update. It’s been almost a week since I took the last set of picture. Her the Cochin is again and I can certainly see more development. So what do you all say.
When we got her she was in a small pen being sold with 15 to 20 others in it. She seems in good health after watch the last week and you can see the start of feathers coming in but still looks scabby and sore.
we recently got new chickens and my aunt was under the impression they were both female. I am questioning the splash Cochin we got because the are major differences between that one and our partridge Cochin of the same age. He/ she is at either 8 or 9 weeks of age.
