    About two months ago I have three new hens along with one that is about a year old. They all get along very well now. But I am only getting 3 eggs a day now . How can I figure out which chicken is not laying eggs. We're hoping that maybe she will start soon..

    Unfortunately I think you're right really sucks . Birds were always free-range. I had 1 bird left got 3 new but the old chicken being nasty but seems better today. Hopefully she don't stop them from eating fortunately I'm not going to be home to keep a eye My old dog got along fine with chickens...

    What you add to water

    I had purchased a heated water trough . But it is 4 gallons and I only have three chickens.. I have a well here so there was no chlorine in the water it's getting a little algae in it as I am only changing it once a week.. somebody told me I could put a couple teaspoons of Clorox in the water...

    I work at night and have to put the chickens in the pen before I go.. I found that i can shake trail mix bag of bugs...& My chickens come running... Just hoping that a handful of the trail mix a day for 3 chickens. Is okay for them it it works so well to get birds in at night

    Thank you..I have her in her own cage next to the flock feel bad that I keep her in 24/7 but she's eating well and much calmer Please can you tell which breed I have..that are very friendly & go back in coop most of the time without me catching them.dont know if little one will come in at night...

    I was advised to separate new younger bird that was being pecked on ..I put her in a change next to coop,pen today as she escaped yesterday surprised she lived through the night... I feel terribly about buying only 1 new bird I didn't know this would happen..would it take long b4 she can join...

    Wow . didn't expect so much help so fast!!! I don't know how old thay are but I have them 5 -6 wks.thay been laying eggs 3-4 wks now... The new one is smaller & scroney compared to the rest.. Seem to be doing better...... As long as she doesn't find a new hiding spot so I can put her in at night

    After losing a chicken to I guess a fox.. I went and got a new bird... But the other 3 keep pecking at the new one...poor bite is so afarid....than seem to get along.and it starts all over Do I need to seporate the new bird till it gets bigger? Help please
