This is my third clutch of chicks first to be from a hen much easier the hen takes care of them. I have them separated how long before they can join the flock?
This is my first hatch. I've had chicks before I have to admit it much easier with the hen then a brooder pen. They are barn yard mix some rode islands and other reds mixt to a green tailed rooster.

Thankyou, I separated them today the pictured cage is there day time are and a broder ay night. Yes the ducks make a horrid mess out of the shavings food and water the chicks where soaked that's when I decided to separate them. I'll check the feed for niacin, I'm feeding starter

They are finally settling in, they are 4 months old and lived free range, now in a coop and run that they keep escaping so I've locked them in the coop with food and water so they are safe as they get use to the new more dominant flock mates large red variety.
