Only one fertile...suggestions?
No, I don't have any more to hatch. So...... this is what I have done (right or wrong). I collected 10 eggs from my Button Quail and have added them to the incubator. They should hatch at the same time as the pheasant egg. I don't know what will come of this, but I hadn't heard anything back...- nhblond

Just changed out the bulb when I was giving them fresh shavings, food & water. The current temp is about 80 degrees, so I will go back in a little bit and see if I need to raise or lower the light. My only concern is that the light will be on 24/7 and disturb the other birds. I will probably... -

KFCGirl♥ : 3 weeks? Buttons? i wouldnt try that.. I don't think I will try it.... I think I will go ahead and switch the bulb to a regular 60 watt bulb (white unfortunately) and raise it to where the temp is about 80ish. I will just have to keep an eye out for any pecking that could happen. -

So we hatched some Button Quail and they were two weeks old yesterday. They are still in the brooder with heat, but they are growing so fast that we need to get going on building some cages. How old do they have to be before I can try sexing them by the vent feathers? We have nine of them... -
