    White Ayam Cemani Chick?¿?

Well technically if they discended from normal cemanis you could still call them that. Plus they are still black on their skin and insides

Topic of the Week - Winter Egg Laying

I dont supplement light, every hen has stopped laying apart from one who is a common hybrid. They will start back up again in February usually. Days are still pretty long here (sunrise at 7am sunset 5pm). And temps are just starting to get freezing at night.

    White Ayam Cemani Chick?¿?

Interesting, I have a someone in my local area (Northern italy) with a flock of these white cemanis. He says he purchased them in Germany for 250$/pair. I'm gonna buy some eggs to hatch out from him this spring hopefully. Here are the pics he sent me (sorry if they are a bit blurry lol)

    Broody hen won't poop?

Yeah, she looks big just because she decided to put 10 eggs under her butt (she weighs less than a kilogram!), she can stand fine and move about a little bit, not a lot but I'm still letting her out once a day even though she doesn't seem interested in doing anything other than drink and eat...

    Broody hen won't poop?

By the way i know they poop a lot less when broody for obvious reasons, but for example i also have a broody goose right now and she dumps a literal bucket of excrement when she goes for her daily walk around the yard. I just dont know if it's normal for her to not go to the bathroom for 4 days...

    Broody hen won't poop?

Hi! I have kind of an odd question. Small backstory, i hatched bantam cochins last year, ended up with 4 roosters and 1 hen. I have a special rat proof coop i keep them in since they are so small and I've had instances of small birds getting eaten by rodents (mostly quails). About two weeks ago...

    Help with goose and babies

Yeah, unfortunately mine didn’t take kindly to the other babies I tried to introduce to them, the problem is mainly the male, he hurts them if they try to go near

    Help with goose and babies

That’s what I did in the end, they seem to not want to go too far from the parents so it’s been good so far. Here’s a picture from yesterday, when I let them roam the yard with the ducks, the turkeys and the chickens

    Help with goose and babies

My main concern is there are some drainage holes in the wall that lead directly to the woods, in two weeks time they should already be big enough not to be able to pass through them...

    Help with goose and babies

Hi, so my 3 year old goose decided to hatch her own babies (she’s already done it successfully last year). They just hatched, there were 5 eggs and they all hatched but one died while still under his mama unfortunately. Last year I took her babies away because it was too dangerous for them to be...

Gander following me and vibrating neck (help?)

I think I figured it out, it looks like he’s just trying to find a mate, my dad and I were working on a gate and we were low down to the ground and he jumped on my dad’s back and grabbed him by his hat lol, I had to pull him off cause he wouldn’t let go 😂

Gander following me and vibrating neck (help?)

He’s got 8 mates though 😅, I’m selling some of the other ganders in a few days, maybe with less competition over the females he will stop doing this
