He has clean legs - later on today I can post a better picture. Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is the difference between a project bird and mixed breed?

I’ve been a long time user of BYC for advice, but didn’t make my own account until today! We currently have 6 hens and 1 rooster and will be incubating some eggs in the spring (I teach kindergarten so I do it in the classroom). Looking forward to more great advice from all of you

Sorry for the horrible picture - what breed is this rooster? We were given this rooster by someone who doesn’t know what type he is. Any guidance would be appreciated!
