    Chickens eating more food

    Hi all, I have nine chickens at approximately 18 weeks. No eggs yet but the last few days their food consumption has been crazy.. Nothing has changed they are just eating like little piggys - I'm hoping its a sign that they will be laying soon. Please let me know your thoughts

    New Waterer questions

    Hi, I just purchased a bucket with a nipple watering system for my birds and am curious as to whether i need to train them to use it? Or will they just figure it out? Should I take their existing waterer out once I get this one hung? Thanks for any advice!

    So my chicks are out in the coop.....

    And they won't go out of the coop at all! I didn't want to scare them out, i've been keeping food and water in there for them. Should i remove it so they go out to the yard to get food?

    Never ending questions

    I have a blue leg horn I believe she is a female. She is three weeks old give or take a couple day and is quite energetic She eats and eats but has not seemed to get any bigger she’s happy and plAyS. I was hoping one you might know about the breed being small?

    4-5 week old chicks, Think I'm a Giant!

    So I have been trying to socialize with my chicks to get them friendly and loving but they just aren't having it, I talk to them, they don't run from my voice anymore which is good, but if i stick my hand in their brooder they scatter.     I have gotten myself 6 baby chicks, hopefully are all girls! they are approximately 3-4 weeks old. I have them brooding in a storage bin with the light but they are quickly growing to large for this. How cold is too cold for them to be outside part of the time? Any tips or tricks you...
