here are the parents. They are supposed to be from a hatchery. According to the man I bought them from this spring. I will try to get better pic's of the chicks later.
I only had 4 hatch from the 2nd batch, I had a temp drop at the end that I think killed most of them just before hatch day. :-( but now I have a tom sitting on 11 eggs right now due the 1st week in June. So out of 50 eggs and 2 incubators I have 11 total chicks. 1st time for turkey hatching for...

Wow thats a long time to be fertile from one kind of father. I wish I still have the guys e-mail address from where I got them from. Just for sake of finding out what they are crossed with. My guess is a Palm. It's not a big deal to me. They are all going into the freezer anyway.
This spring I bought 2 Narragansett Toms and 3 Narragansett Hens along with 16 of there eggs to hatch. I hatch the eggs and got 7. 3 of the chicks are yellow and the rest are brown. I though maybe the previous owner forgot to tell me he had some white turkeys too and he cross breed them. So I...
This was my 1st time with ducklings this spring and know matter what I did they where soaked. I also had them in with chicks. What a mess. I think it's just how they are but I hope someone as some help for you. They are older now so they are outside finally.
Glad you got it. The man that owns the local feed store has lots of breading chickens and a mink got 45 of his chickens before they where able to get it. Crafty little sucker.
I know that it might be on the thread somewhere but I have to ask. Is there differences you can see between a Ameraucana and a Easter Egger? What do you look for? Thanks a bunch from a newbe to this breed.
Ok so last night one of my sexlink hens goes paralyzed on me. She is fine other than she can't walk. This is the 2nd time this hen has done this to me. The first time she did it was a month ago and I thought she was a goner. But the next day there was a normal egg where she had been laying...
This is my 1st year with turkeys. I bought them full grown this spring. They are 1 year old. Here is a picture of them just now I checked on them and this is what I found. (the blue thing is the nest box.) I didn't know if this was common or not. But it's cute. He is not the dominant tom. At...
I have 2 toms and 2 hens (Narragansett). Today I find my so called broody hen escaped from there pen and I open the door to the coop and there sits the one tom on the nest of eggs like it's his job. As soon as the hen comes in she goes over to the nest and they trade off and she sits on the eggs...
