I have 2 toms and 2 hens (Narragansett). Today I find my so called broody hen escaped from there pen and I open the door to the coop and there sits the one tom on the nest of eggs like it's his job. As soon as the hen comes in she goes over to the nest and they trade off and she sits on the eggs and the tome goes about his day. Weird!?!?

This is my 1st year with turkeys. I bought them full grown this spring. They are 1 year old. Here is a picture of them just now I checked on them and this is what I found. (the blue thing is the nest box.) I didn't know if this was common or not. But it's cute. He is not the dominant tom. At least he has something to do other than be chased around by the other tom. Lets keep are fingers crossed for some chicks.

I don't care who hatches them.

Very cute! As a hunter I've grown to have great admiration for these birds and their superior intellect! They are by no means "stupid birds"!
