I just got my order in today. I ordered the mix because I really just wanted some easter eggers and then a few random whatevers and then to sell the rest. I was not tied down to any specific breeds which is why I went this route. Figured since its called a rainbow pullet pack that it would come...
Thanks for this. I will be putting an order in with them in May. In the meantime I'm going to see if any of the current babies I have are going to be upright birds. If not then I'll sell them off.
Soooo I bought these runner ducks on Ideal ... they don't stand exactly upright? This isn't really what I wanted at all. :(
Case in point..
They don't waddle but they don't live up to the pictures I've seen of runners. The worst part is that I have 7 of these fake runner ducks. I've been...
Local pickup only. .50 cents a piece they are new hampshires and barred rocks. These were the "packing peanuts" for my most recent duck order. I gotta get rid of them and am only looking to make my feed costs back on them. Local pickup in Louisville only.
Thanks!
Checking in! I'm in Louisville.
I currently have 7 runner ducks and a mess of 4-8 week old chicks. (trying to sell some of these I'm overrun!)
Had chickens in the backyard for 5 years now and last year was the WORST year ever. I lost my entire flock to hawks, fox, and *ashamed* my two dogs...
I have 9 Leghorns that are St Run for sale. These were purchased a week ago from a friend that could no longer keep them and I was trying to help her out. Now I'm overrun with chickens! (not that that is a bad thing)
I am located in Louisville, KY
There is a debate on medicated or non medicated. Personally, I feed medicated for the first bag of feed and when that is gone I switch to nonmedicated.
I can't help myself when it comes to baby chicks! I ordered 5 SL Wyandottes and 5 Turkens.
This is Flappy, the chick with the deformed or broken wing. Husband says deformed, I'm on the fence. Can't really send her back and otherwise seems normal so she gets to stay.
And two of the turkens

Ah ha! Thank you! The little gal looks just like 2 of her other sisters just without the naked neck. They're still stupidly cute.
I'm not sure what Cackle can do about the broken wing one and honestly I'm not too upset about it. As long as she stays cute, fluffy, and otherwise normal...
The funny thing was when I called the PO today nobody even new that the chicks were on a delivery truck. Figured somebody would have seen them.
I'm very happy that besides the broken wing one, they are all happy little chicks running around doing cute chicken things.
So I went home on lunch and there my baby chicks are on my front porch! Thank goodness it was 72F outside so that they weren't sitting in freezing temperatures.
I ordered 5 Turkens and 5 Silver Wyandottes.
1 Wyandotte has a broken wing.. and one of the "turkens" is fully feathered...
Well.... now I'm worried that my chicks are going to be in rough shape when I get them. I called Cackle and they said they were shipped on Weds. I called the Post Office and they said they either haven't gotten them or they're on the truck out for delivery... aaaarrrggghhh
