My male to female duck ratio. I am thinking 3 drakes and 16 hens. I dont want the females to stressed out, since I want them to produce lots of eggs. So do you think that 3 to 16 is the perfect ratio or do you think I should get rid of one of my drakes?

How many square feet should each duck have in a coop? They would be free range during the day and would be in the coop at night. I have 19 ducks so how many square feet would I need?

If I do make a coop for my chickens should it be on or off of the ground? Wouldn't predators try to get in if it was on the ground? What are your suggestions? Thanks
