We have a 25 week old hen that was picked on until she bled by her comb. We seperated her from the other 5. But do we keep them seperate at night? We have a seperate coop she's in now. She stopped bleeding, so back with the others? Or away for the night? Thanks

My 6 leghorns are about 17 weeks old and looking like twins, or sextuplets. How do i go about knowing who is who? Kids have names for each and want to keep them straight. Are leg tags good? Or do they peck at them all day? Thanks much!
We got our 6 leghorn chicks 16 weeks ago tomorrow and today my wife and I are happy to say we found 2 eggs today (in the run)! Kids were beyond excited since this is our first time having chickens. I do believe they tasted a bit better than our neighbors eggs.
My heart goes out to all those affected by the violence across America in the past week. Two wrongs do not make a right. Be kind to one another, lift up your fellow man.
I read the great article on here about food that is good and not good for chickens, but at what age can i give them my chicken friendly fruit and veggie scraps? My chicks are 4 weeks old. Thanks much!
Sounds good! I just want to feed my ladies what is best. Sounds like i should stick to a higher quality of feed for them. Is there anything i should stay away from in a specific feed? My girls are 4 weeks now and on starter feed and will be running out of that in 5 days or so.
Hello, I've been watching videos of people making their own feed mix with sunflower seeds, oats, corn....ect... Many different combos.. So i was curious if this is best, or buy store bought feed. So what does everyone do? Thanks!
Thank you so much, we have leghorns and anconas. Ill skip the insulation and make sure my ventilation is good. Would an infarred heat souce be something to consider if we get a prolonged cold snap?
