I'm looking to rehome my 4 Embdens, they're about 5 months old now. As they're getting bigger, I painfully realized my backyard is just way too small for all four of them. Would anyone here be able to give them a forever home where they have plenty of space to wonder around? We're in east TX...
Don't think we need to give a reason, who wouldn't love these little curious balls of fluff?
Especially when they all running towards you even though they could hardly balance themselves:
They're just so darn cute, even after a hard working day of digging mud holes in the backyard:
Thank you all for the support. I do feel better now... I sincerely hope they'd always be as happy as they're now... they're busy digging mud holes in the yard now.
now i am really really scared; almost feel like crying; the feedstore where I got them from didn't know how to sex them, and I honestly didn't think it could be any problem other than I might not be getting any eggs... eating any of them would be completely out of question, rehome would be...
I have 4 embden goslings, they're about 3 months old. Obviously I don't know their sexes yet. After reading all your postings, it got me really worried. What if I have more boys than girls. How bad could it be during mating seasons? I don't want to give up any of them, and I don't think we can...
We're getting a lot of mosquitoes in the backyard after a few rainstorms. Do they bite geese? what would be a safe & effective mosquito control method?

Sorry Mahsmaj, can't help you with the pond bank question. It's a community pond, no idea how they kept it perfect. It's on our daily walking route.... and here's a short video of my geese out for walks

Yes, ours love ice cubes since they're tiny babies. You should definitely give it a try, only problem is they all melted w/n 20min since it's like 100dg outside... feel so bad for the kids, wish I could have them inside.

Wow, your place is clean and neat... How do you keep the edge of the tank so tiddy? Beautiful birds, don't you just love when they put their foot back when relaxing? Jennifer
Thanks for the compliments. Our yard no longer looks clean ever since they started to molt...
Our goslings just turned 12 weeks, this is our first time raising geese, or anything for that matter. Thought we'd share some of their pictures with our fellow geese lovers:

Whew! What a relief!Had to admit that I was pretty worried.
I didn't know goslings molt too... they're still babies, and literally just got their feather... well, You learn something new everyday!
Thank you Bock
My 11 wk old goslings are losing soooooooooooooo much feather these days, got their down/feather flying all over the yard, is that normal? I did switch them off to a less protein feed about a week ago, could that be the cause? Thank you!
