    Welcome, great place if you have questions. As for the crowing pullet, when I was younger we actually had a hen that would crow. Also had a rooster that would set on eggs when the hen would get off the nest.

    Currently in the process of building a 16X16 shed that will have 2 coops 4X8 with a 240 square foot run each and one coop 8X8 with a 320 square foot run. also ill have a freezer, fridge and a sink for butchering and storing fresh meat. Oh and also a 55 gal fishtank for breeding tilapia.

    I'm sure the feed is good, we give them a high protein game bird feed and allow them to graze. they're fine with our chickens just not to friendly with the wild ones

    Best way for me to get over butchering them is to name them. Names I have include: Fried chicken, chicken sandwich, chicken salad, BBQ, oh and this sweet little one we call Honey Glazed. Naming them after food reminds us what their purpose is.
