    I have eight RIR chickens. They are all siblings hatched out fifteen weeks ago. Two of them are roosters. I dont want them inbreeding. So Im considering killing the two roos. I cant find anyone to take them. I also dont want to eat them or give them to someone who wont properly care for them...

    Does anyone else have crossbred chickens?

    Three months ago a weasel attack eliminated all of my RIR layers. In haste I got a dozen fertile eggs from my neighbors. Their rooster is Buff Orpington. And their hens are White Rocks and Black Astralorpes. What a cross! Im assuming they will make good layers. What do you think?

    I think the worst predators are the ones we seldom see. Such as the black tail weasel in Illinois. They are nocturnal, small, intelligent, lightening fast, and deadly. They can squeeze through an inch and half hole.
