    Stupid Human Trick

Thanks for the laugh, Boyd. You're great for getting up with the baby at night. Let me know if you ever decide to clone yourself because I will put my order in for one just like you, minus the late-night Chevy Chase routine. Love it that your daughter is a football playing...

Quick Advice Needed: Chickens Freaking Out in Coop!

Maybe get a little battery operated light/night light of some sort to put in there for them tomorrow night. They could be freaking because it's new and they can't see much in the dark maybe? Hope tomorrow night is better for y'all.

Gastric bypass / Lap band...has anyone had it done?**update post 106**

I have not had either of those procedures. Please make sure that your thyroid is working normally before having surgery done for weight loss. An obese friend of mine was finally found to have a wacked-out thyroid that required two types of medications monthly to "fix." She had to take a...

    stupid neighbor

Sounds like you've got it handled. Around here, most of those dog breeds would mean a spike in homeowner insurance rates because they're considered "dangerous," so might want to check on that if it will make a difference to you. Also make sure that they can't steal the puppies, too. Good luck.

    Gutless worm....

    1. You're not a gutless worm. 2. He wants you to call him and you know he does, plus have the go ahead from everyone involved? Then you have to call him, no matter how uncomfortable you are. 3. Once you call him, you'll wonder why you didn't sooner. 4. Pick up the phone and call. It...

Craigslist people can be real dorks

Are there any general horse rescues, or breed-specific rescues near you? Some of them operate over many states' area. Maybe one could help you find him a great forever home. Try looking at Petfinder.com and contacting rescues through there. Good luck.

    Ivermectin for DOGS for Heartworms?

Okay, I'm a little confused. Is Ivermectin safe for a Catahoula Leopard Dog, which is a herding dog? If yes, then does the dog require a smaller dose, just to be sure it's safe? Thanks. This is a wonderful thread!

I am dumbstruck! How is this possible?

No idea what would've carried off the bag of rat poison. That's not a good thing, as you can't control what (pet) animals can get into it if you don't know where it is. Naughty rats! A non-poison way to kill rats, that is supposed to work, is to pour a carbonated soda in a pan for them to...

    Any hunters/hunter wives?

For all of y'all that hunt and do your own processing, where do you suggest a person learn how to do that? (That's cutting them up and freezing, right?) I don't know any hunters and never have hunted, but deer bring their fawns to play in my front yard at night, so they're definitely around...
