Hello, well at long last my pullets have finally started to lay, I have been checking the coop 2x's a day for eggs, my question is...how can you tell if a egg is frozen? I collected one that was still warm..and one that felt cold as ice...I put both eggs in a carton in fridge...then my neighbor...
How much food should my girls be eating? They are almost 16 weeks, and I have 10 total. Every morning I go out and fill up a 3lb hanging feeder, they are also out in the run all day and get fresh grass and all kinds of garden veggies and scraps, they also get 1 1/2 hours free range in the...
The breeds I have are Salmon Faverolle, and Easter eggers...You are so right about getting chicks in June, It was so easy to move them out to the coop early, but I wasn't thinking in terms of when they would lay eggs...silly newbie that I am! I guess I am hoping that I may still get a few eggs...
Hi, I have some chicks that were born the first week of June, They are 12 weeks right now, I have read on here that mosts pullets start laying around 20 to 24 weeks, which will make it Dec. when my girls will be old enough to start laying. Our coop does not have electricity so they will not have...
I ordered from Cackle Hatchery this summer and recieved wonderful birds, I have nothing but good to say about their customer service. I called and spoke to a couple different people before ordering, asking questions about different breeds and temperments and such, and they were always very kind...

Hi,
I was wondering what would be a good incubator for a newbie, I'm looking for something to hatch 12 or less eggs at a time, and priced under $200.00. I would be interested in hearing opions on brands and why or why not you like it.
Thanks in advance
