I'm just wondering if I were to cross my own cornish rocks, or cornish delawares, and feed the resulting birds a feed with a lower protein percentage, would they grow with less health problems?
Anyone ever get this? How'd it work out? What were the pullets and the straight run rare breeds? Were the turkeys broad breasteds? I'm thinking it's a good way to have a variety of birds to start with.

Anybody ever used this method? I've heard it's avery viable option if you can't free-range. (John Seymour seems to think so, and I like all the work he's done and written about over the years). It certainly seems much, much better than the "traditional" yard method. What do you all think?
