Roo squeaking - something might still be stuck in crop?

He will start squeaking like this when eating or crowing. I looked in his mouth and cant see anything immediate, but he seems to be wheezing and squeaking more and more. Is there any way to triage this without going to a vet? We can't really afford an emergency vet right now :(

Roo Tongue Issue - is it torn?

So our black jersey giant has been yelping here and there and we'd see something sticking out of his beak. I cut it out after a couple weeks once we realised it was actually stuck on his tongue. I thought i had taken a pic but it seems I did not. It was like some dark fibrous thing like a twig...

How To Handle Getting Rooster Instead Of Hen In City (Portland, OR)

Hey gang, so heartbreakingly enough, thanks to these forums, we found out our youngest chicken is actually a roo. We've spent so much time with her and she's (he, i suppose. sigh) a close pet and part of the family more than anything else and pretty tightly bonded with my wife and our other...

Is there a way to stop this behavior? I really dont want to piss off my neighbors much more than this already probably has.

Hen standing funny - bad sign or just being moody?

Not totally sure what to make of this, but often I find her standing like this. She was our rescue and we took her to a vet in February or March or so and she was very healthy. I guess since she's been through so much unknown trials and tribulations I'm concerned about every little weird thing I...

First Experience With Cocciditis or Just Shed Lining?

From researching the forums and Google I see this question has been asked, roughly estimating, 908billion times, and for some reason I feel like I need to ask again because I am not sure. I did pick up on how to treat it (going to go with Corid if I need to treat) but I wanna be sure I need to...

    Mysterious Foot/Leg Injury or Condition

Hello! So on Jan 1st, 2022, a beautiful girl flew into our lives. Well, slammed into a window into our lives. We thought she was really messed up because she is a La Fleche and we thought the horned comb was a torn up comb (after learning what a comb even was). It was not. We took her to a vet...
