    Favorite rooster is sick

I don't know what is wrong. My rooster can't walk and kind of lays to one side. I looked for injuries but see nothing and legs and feet appear ok. I started giving him vitamins in water, gave him an antibiotic injection and dusted him for mites. How frequently should I give the...

Hi, I have my first NN hen. She is about four months old. Do all NN hens lay green or blue eggs? I don't know much about my NN yet, except she is very sweet.

    So, I discovered this

Happened to move my well-house today and was shocked to find all these eggs. I thought they were not laying much due to the heat. Only two hens lay in the nesting boxes inside the coop. I have fake eggs in the boxes. How can I figure out where they are laying now and how can I get them to lay in...

    Fox???

I bought four hens not knowing they wouldn't coop up at night. Never thought of an owl. Must have scared one of them. She went in the coop for the first time tonight. Hoping the other two will start doing the same.

That night, only one of the four returned to the coop for bed and I couldn't get them to go inside. I called the lady I bought...

Um... I have a weird crowing hen??

I actually read something to this effect on numerous websites. "Certain medical conditions—such as an ovarian cyst, tumor or diseased adrenal gland—can cause a chicken's left ovary to regress. In the absence of a functional left ovary, the dormant right sex organ may begin to grow, according to...

    Omlet Coop

I don't know what an omelet coop is, but chickens do not eat or drink once they go in for the night. Mine go straight for food or water when I let them out in the morning. I have been told it is not good to have food or water in coop. It attracts mice and other things.

    My rooster is evil

My first rooster was kind of mean, he never attacked me. (I gave him away and he was so mean he died the next day at the hands of another rooster.) I have three roosters now and technically should have two-one could probably handle the job. So far they are all getting along probably...

Just out of curiosity-how much does it cost to take a chicken to a vet? I won't be doing that, but not judging. Just wondering.
