I had a migraine for two days and didn't gather eggs. I have a couple of cochins who I can't seem to break of brooding so... I went out today to find them sitting on 45 eggs. Would you still eat them after 2 days of being under hot mamas?

Thanks! The humidity did get really high when like 5 or 6 hatched all at once. Maybe just too much chick juice in there all at once. lol I'll try giving it a warm bath. :)

One of my chicks that hatched late yesterday has dried but not fluffed. It looks wet but it's not. It kinda feels crunchy. All the other chicks before and after this one fluffed up fine. Thoughts on why and how to fix it?

I have a tiny broody bantam sitting on eggs in a nest box that's about 4 ft off the floor. Is it safe for her to hatch the chicks there? Every time I have moved a broody, they have stopped sitting, so I am hesitant to do that. Thoughts or experience?
