This picture isn’t the best but it is the best I could get. I noticed the black on daisy today. She isn’t limping or anything out of the ordinary but I want to make sure if it is bumble foot I treat her before it gets worse.
I have 3 ducks 2 hens 1 drake. One hen recently started laying. I’ve been offering lots of fruit and today gave them more watermelon then I usually do. I came out to the run and saw this. They are all acting fine is this normal when they eat lots of watermelon.
I definitely got some on my hand it WON’T come off. Thank you all for your help. Hopefully I have a happy update for you all in a few days. Donut seems to be eating, drinking, and doing all the duck things normally.🤞🏼
I also just had to get them new food because I discovered mold in the bag of food they had been eating. Do you think that could be part of the issue or is that too far fetched
I looked for mites I personally didn’t see anything. Is there a spray or something to use in case it does have them? I have donut in a kennel inside the coop with food, peas, and water with electrolytes. Can I still let it get in the pool… I added some apple cider vinegar to the water tonight.
Thank you, I got the spray and applied ointment. Donut (the duck with the raw skin) will not leave it alone I’ve been watching very closely and none of the other ducks are messing with it. Could it be because it recently just got it feathers? Or what would cause this in very worried.:/
Help! We just moved our ducks outside and they cannot figure out how to use there ramp to get in and out of the pool. Should I change the set up or will they figure it out. We have added a small ramp into the house and they use it just fine.
Could they live together and then get separated during mating seasons. Also could I keep my hen and the most gentle drake and rehome the other 2 drakes…
